Sanity Saver Road Trip Tips with Kids
Updated: May 18, 2022
Summer time = Road Trips!!
While we love the destination, it can be a headache getting there. Am I right? Last summer was filled with boredom, bickering, dead iPads, and "Are we there yet?".
So this summer, I decided to be a little more proactive and save my sanity! I found this portable travel table at my favorite grocery store, Aldi. You can also find several different ones on Amazon. See link below.

Stock it with these fun items:
🚗 Crayons, markers, colored pencils (depending on your child's age)
🚗 Dry erase marker
🚗 Dot labels
🚗 Post-its
🚗 Coloring Books
🚗 Save those kids meal toys from Chick-Fil-A (etc.) and add them to your kit too!
🚗 Oh its a perfect space to build Legos! My son's favorite!
Items from Biller's Book Nook Shop:
🚗 Stained Glass Coloring with felt-tip pens or colored pencils
🚗 100 Things to Do for little Children on a Trip:
Wipe Clean activity cards! These are also perfect for taking into restaurants and fit perfectly in your purse. Always a new activity with 100 cards to choose from.
🚗 Wipe Clean Activity Books: These also fit perfectly in your bag and kids can do them over and over again! There are many to choose from that fit your reader's age.

🚗 Sticker Books- I don't know about you, but my kids LOVE stickers! Let them create different scenes with different stickers! We even have reusable sticker book options!
🚗 Books!
We can't forget about books. My kiddos are still little so Things to Spot books are perfect as well as our Listen and Read Series! Children press the button on each page and it reads the story to them, in an adorable English accent I might add.
So, take a minute to put these travel kits together and keep it in the car. I promise It will buy you some time and save your sanity. Yes, we bring the iPad too, but we bust those out at the very end of the trip when we really need them.
Happy Travels!
